A Brief Bio:

Ashley Blu Lavalle, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, first fell in love with Austin while earning her BA in Sociology at St. Edward’s University. Her life took root in Austin and she returned to St. Ed’s a few years later to pursue her Master’s in Counseling focusing on relationships. Ashley believes that quality relationships are the cornerstone to a happy, healthy life. She has therefore devoted her practice to helping people navigate the often treacherous road of relationships. Ashley has experience tackling many issues including improving communication, pre-marriage/partnership counseling, restoring intimacy, desire and sex, separation/divorce, facilitating difficult decisions and conversations.  She is compassionate, playful, and warm in her counseling style and possesses a genuine curiosity about her clients’ lives. Her priority is to create a trusting space in order for clients to be expressive and free to explore their thoughts and feelings honestly. She employs many experiential techniques and works from a Humanistic perspective. Simply being present and in the moment with her clients is what she enjoys most.

Recently, she was accepted to Texas Tech to pursue her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.
